I actualy dont think he is a demon. There are thories that say he is some sort of inter-dimensional being which would explain his powers of teleportation, mind alteration, and the effects he has on people (or has been reported to have) such as coughing fits (which could be accompanied by couging up blood), nausia, paranoia, amnesia (creating large blocks of missing time), and more, which has become known as "Slender Sickness". I simply feel the idea of him being a creature from another dimension a more feasable explanation than him being a demon. I saw him afew weeks back.He was in the girls bathroom at my school ((Im in middle school))
When i went outside of the stall and looked in the mirror he was right there behind me. I ****ing ran out of that bathroom to my classroom and i still dont trust that stall anymore.

I just though of something, If Slender Man is indeed the result of the Tulpa effect, then wouldn't creating a larger consiousness on him or the subject create more or make him stronger? To answer your question, the "Slender Man" was based off of several old German/West European accounts of a tall, skinny man with no face and wearing nobleman's clothes who lived in the forest and harmed people. The real question is, why would a faceless, tall entity like the Slender man be so naturally frightening to humanity? Man fears fire, lightning, floods, why? Because our ancestors feared it for thousands of years. Slender Man, being an embodiment of fear himself, may have been more commonly a problem of our ancient ancestors.

To kinda contribute with Dial-Tone, I feel that he may be from a different dimenstion, and the reason he is faceless and mis-proportioned with a suit/noble clothing is because it is an attempt to blend in with the general population. However, it provides no camoflage, and that is why he is primarily seen in the woods or within the trees. I know this kinda clashes with a few theories, but nobody really knows for sure right? We probably won't ever know if he is really real or not.
